Age 72, Dartmouth. It is with great sorrow that the family of Bryan Herbert Mcfarlane announces his passing on Sunday, January 29, 2023 in Dartmouth General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Bryan was born, and grew up in Halifax, and started his young career at Wire Rope Industries Ltd. in Dartmouth. He then enjoyed a very successful career as a Cargo Manager for many years at Canadian Airlines and a few others along the way, followed by becoming a business owner until his retirement. Bryan was an avid golfer, enjoyed going to many Halifax Moosehead games and was always cheering on his much-loved Toronto Maple Leaf’s and Toronto Blue Jays. Bryan will be dearly missed by the countless people whose lives he touched. Bryan is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 51 amazing years, Violet (Covey); sons, Bryan Jr., Michael (Shawna); beloved grandfathe­r to his cherished grandchild­ren, Kayleigh, Jullian, and Evan; brother, Wayne (Margaret); nephew, Kevin (Cara); niece, Jill (Jason); adored godmother, Aunt Pearl; greatniece and nephews; many cousins, friends and his breakfast club companions. Special Thanks to all of the doctors, nurses and staff at Dartmouth General Hospital for their dedication and compassion­ate care. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be held Monday February 6th, at 11 a.m. in Saint Mother Teresa of Kolkata Parish, 6032 Normandy Dr., Halifax. Reception to follow in the church hall.
