Age 97, Tatamagouc­he, passed away January 31, 2023, in the Veteran’s Unit of Sutherland Harris Memorial Hospital, Pictou. She was the wife of the late Vincent Isaac Sellers and daughter of the late Albert R. and Flora (Amon) Anderson. She leaves behind her daughter, Kathryn M. Tattrie, Tatamagouc­he; sons, Gerald (Nita), Hilden, Garth (Dora), Truro, Randall (Carla), Wycliff, B.C.; sister, Doreen Atkinson, Riverview, N.B.; sisterin-law, Rowena Pipes, Amherst; ten grandchild­ren, sixteen great-grandchild­ren, ten great great-grandchild­ren; many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and her husband, she was predecease­d by her daughter, Dianne Marie in 1945; son, Vincent Wayne, 1946; in laws, Clifford and Lola (Brooks) Sellers; sisters, Phyllis Chapman, Mildred Anderson, Madeline Fillmore; brothers, Lloyd, Thomas; sister-in-law, Jen Sellers; brothers-in-law, Ward Chapman, Harris Fillmore, Blair Atkinson, Frank Pipes, Walter Sellers; son in law, Angus Tattrie; greatgreat granddaugh­ter, Halle Jane Tattrie. Mom enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, embroideri­ng, knitting socks/mittens and baking – especially for the holidays. Mom was blind from December 26, 1960 – December 20, 1961. She had many eye issues over the years and was always thankful for her several eye specialist­s as well as the VON who were able to assist Mom to remain in her home until May of 2022. Special thank you to the Hospitals in Truro, New Glasgow, and to the Sutherland Harris, Pictou who took such great care of Mom over the years. She is resting in Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouc­he. There will be no visitation at this time, but a Graveside Service will take place in the Spring, when she will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Amherst Head Cemetery. The date and the time of the service will be announced. Donations may be made to the Parrsboro United Baptist Cemetery, Amherst Head Cemetery, Sedgwick Memorial Presbyteri­an Church, Tatamagouc­he or charity of choice.
