Age 93, Mushaboom, formerly Watt Section, died Tuesday March 26, 2024, in Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital. Born in Kemptville N.S. May 3, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Murray and Viola (Hamiliton) Churchill. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmothe­r, great-grandmothe­r and great great-grandmothe­r. Barb worked at Stedmans in Sheet Harbour in her earlier years and volunteere­d at the day clinic at Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital. She loved to bake, play cards, bowl, go for walks and reading her bible. In earlier years she taught swimming lessons.

Barb enjoyed talking to her friends and was very witty. She enjoyed camping, her many grandchild­ren and loved travelling to Alberta. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by children, Susan Levy, David (Debbie), Sharon (Ira) Josey, Timothy (Donna), Stephen (Dawn), Christophe­r (Linda); 15 grandchild­ren; 24 greatgrand­children; and 13 great great-grandchild­ren. Predecease­d by husband, Giles; son, Thomas in infancy; sister, Marion (Robert) Irwin; brother, Edwin (Margaret); son-in-law, Lindsay. Visitation will be held Tuesday April 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in DS Crowell & Son Funeral Home, 22558 Highway 7, Sheet Harbour. Funeral service will be held Wednesday April 3 at 2 p.m. in Livingwate­r Baptist Church, 34 Barkhouse Road, Sheet Harbour Pastor Jeremy Head officiatin­g, burial to follow in St. James United Cemetery, Sheet Harbour. Reception to follow at the Sheet Harbour Legion. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or IWK Foundation. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital for their compassion and kindness shown to the family, they would also like to thank the homecare workers that were so kind to mom.
