CLUETT-DOWNEY, Kayla

Age 28 years young of Porters Lake, passed away July 1, 2020 in Newport Corner. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of Andrea Cluett and Kevin Downey. She was a proud and happy mother and homemaker; her children and family were her life. Survived by her parents; Coty Macroberts; daughters, Samantha and Madison Macroberts; son, Matthew Macroberts; brother, Jeramie Cluett-downey; great-grandparents, Lynn and Ray Cluett; nieces, Lexi Macroberts-way, Jessica and Jocelyn Downey; nephew, Jacob Downey. Kayla will be sadly missed by all who loved her: Rose and Darren Macroberts, Darren and Candice Macroberts, Angel Macroberts, Brad Way; many aunts, uncles, cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles; a lot of extended family; many friends and her BFF, Shytaya Snooks. She was a wonderful, loving, person, fantastic mother, attentive and loyal friend and the best auntie to all of her nieces and nephew as well as to all of her close friends’ children. She is loved deeply and is greatly missed. Visitation will be held Friday, July 10th, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. The Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 11th, from 12-4 p.m. in the same location. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a trust fund for the children at the Bank of Montreal, Baker Drive in Dartmouth. Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be a limit of 50 people at a time allowed in the funeral home lounge. Staff will be guiding the public and monitoring the rotation to ensure restriction policies are followed. It is suggested that you wear a mask for the safety of everyone attending.
