As a member of the Labourers’ International Union, he travelled to Calgary, Alta., and worked on many job sites as the oil and gas industry grew and thrived. Angus loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and playing cards. He had a passion for fiddle music, Gaelic songs, sports and horses. He was an avid fan of the horse races at Inverness Raceway. He is survived by his siblings, Billy, Inverary Manor; Anne Chisholm ( Donald), Antigonish; Kate Beaton, Little Judique; Donalda Beaton (Francis), South West Mabou; Josephine Beaton (David) Brook Village; Roddie (Mary), South West Margaree; Sally, Inverness; Michael and Stephen, Mabou; and several nieces and nephews.
