DOUCETTE, Michelle Marie

-

Age 58 - of Rockdale, formerly of Halifax. It is with broken hearts and deep sadness that we, the family of Michelle Marie Doucette announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, auntie, and beloved friend to many, that occurred at her residence in Rockdale on December 2, 2020. Born on August 15, 1962 in Halifax to the late Barbara (Paul) Macfarlane; adopted and raised by the late Bernie and Lorraine Doucette. Michelle recently moved back to her home of Cape Breton after living the majority of her life in Halifax where she worked 15plus years in the insurance industry. She relocated to a beautiful home overlooking the ocean with her precious fur baby Ellie Mae where she felt abundant peace and serenity. Her family is extremely grateful for the treasured moments spent this summer on that very beach. Michelle was a free spirit who lived each moment with fierce passion and showed endless love to everyone around her. She enjoyed many things including makeup, shoes and everything leopard but horseback riding provided her with the upmost joy. Michelle loved life and lived it to the fullest. She had a vibrant smile and unparalleled beauty that lit up every room. She made a great impact on all who knew her and will forever. Michelle is survived by the lights of her life, her cubs, Scott Macdougall (Lindsey) of North Carolina; Tyler Macdougall of California; Richard Johnson (Brittany), Dylan Johnson (Kelsey), both of St. Peter’s; their father and special friend, Junior Johnson of Potlotek; grandchildren, Taylor, Cameron, Emmett, and grandson, Aiden on the way; brothers, John Bourassa, Eddie Paul, both of Ottawa; Galli "Andrew" Paul (Darlene), Potlotek; and special sister, Annie Johnson ( Leo), Eskasoni. The family would also like to send a special thank you to Uncle Bill for being a great companion to Michelle during her time here in Cape Breton. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Dan Jay Paul. Cremation has taken place. Due to COVID-19, a private family committal will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat. To send words of comfort to the family, or to light a candle in memory of Michelle, please visit:
