CERCHIE (Longmire), Annette L.
Of Granville Ferry, formerly of Butler, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 in Warrendale, PA. Born on August 27, 1937 in Hillsburn, she was 83. Annette was created to be artistic, talented, feisty and determined. After raising her three children, she followed her love of floral design and established The Sign of the Gulls boutique in Butler in 1980. Drawn by her love of the ocean and sunny weather, she then expanded her design and business talents when she purchased The China Rose Florist on Marco Island, Fla., in 1986 and ran a very successful business for many years. She returned to friends and relatives in Nova Scotia where she retired in the village of Granville Ferry. While overlooking the Bay of Fundy, she developed an extraordinary talent to hook beautiful tapestries in her retirement. Her art has been displayed in museums. She will always be remembered for serving her delicious seafood chowder in her sunlit kitchen overlooking the bay. She is survived by her son, Randy Cerchie of Cape Coral, Fla.; her daughter, Cynthia Cerchie Ligo ( Brett) of Slippery Rock, Penn.; and her son, Dino Cerchie (Pam) of Mesa, Ariz.; She is also survived by grandchildren, Haley Cerchie, Tom Cerchie, Taylor Cerchie, Hunter Ligo and Lexi Cerchie; and great-grandchildren, Emma Leonard, Zoey Leonard, Isaiah Leonard, and Beatrice Cerchie. She was predeceased in death by her former husband, Silvio Cerchie; her mother, Doris Mcdow; and her grandson, Zander Cerchie. Due to COVID-19, no funeral services will be held.
