AMOROSI, Pasquale

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Pasquale Amorosi. Pasquale passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on December 19, 2020 in Halifax at the age of 88. Pasquale is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gemma; children, Johnny of Halifax; Anna Maria (Paul) of Ontario; and Gabriele (Delia) of Halifax; grandson, Kevin, Ontario; sister, Teresa (Massimo); brother- in- law, Gino ( Maria); and nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. He was preceded in death by brothers, Nicole (Gemmina), Amedeo (Donina), Alesandro (Rosina), Giovanni (Gemma) and Mario (Concetta) (all of Italy). Pasquale was born on February 18, 1932 in Castellalto, Teramo, Italy to Danese (Addolorata) and Salvatore Amorosi. After his education he completed his military service in Italy. He worked in restaurants in Switzerland for four years; then he moved to Canada in 1960 where he worked construction. He returned to Italy to marry the love of his life on July 5, 1964 in Abruzzo, Italy. The couple immigrated to Canada, through Pier 21 on November 2, 1964. He worked in construction and had his own tile and concrete business. He was known for his stonework at Citadel Hill and the Museum of Natural History. Throughout his life he built three quality homes. Pasquale loved to attend and host parties with family and friends. His passion was wine making and gardening. He loved to make memories while travelling and camping with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, children, family and friends. We would like to thank all the health care workers who have helped take care of him in his final days. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 22nd from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and a funeral service will be heldwednesday, December 23rd at 10 a.m., all in J.A.
