WOLFE, Margaret O.
Age 96, of Brooklyn, Queens Co., passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 18, 2020 with her daughter Cindy and her sonin-law Peter at her side. Born inmilton, Margaret was a daughter of the late Fred and Florence (Keans) Braine. Margaret was co-owner and operator of Wolfe’s General Store in Sandy Cove and worked as dispatcher for her husband Doug’s taxi business, Wolfe’s Taxi, for over 60 years. She loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Margaret will be lovingly remembered as a strong, stubborn lady who cherished her independence to the end. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Peter) Rawding of Antigonish; her daughter-in-law, Doris Wolfe of Mississauga, Ont.; her grandchildren, Matthew, Amanda, Katie Rawding, Michellemcinnis and Dean, Patricia and Clint Wolfe; as well as a number of great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Douglas; her son, David; her sisters, Rita Perard, Dot Willoughby and Norma (Braine) Godfrey; and her brother, Bill Braine. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
