ZAKHOUR, Clark "Clarky"

It is with great sadness that we announce Clark "Clarky" Zakhour passed away December 19, 2020. He was born in 1963, in Minyara, Lebanon before immigratin­g to Canada in 1985 where he lived in Timberlea and Tantallon before making Chester his family home. It wasn’t long before Clark became a true legend in the community of Chester, bringing a smile to all of his customers through his infamous pizza and donair. While many came for Clark’s cooking, it was Clark’s generosity, positivity and humour, that left a lasting impression on everyone he met. An active member in St. Antonios Orthodox community, Clark devoted much of his time to his faith. A son of Saadallah and Josephine Zakhour (deceased), Clark was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, grandfathe­r, and friend to many. He will be forever remembered by his loving wife of 35 years, Maha Zakhour; daughters, Amanda and Kimberly; sons, Samer (Kasmir), and Robert (Amy) Zakhour; his siblings, Lutfallah (Evelyn) Zakhour, Lamia (Riad) Habib, Mounzer ( Roueida) Zakhour. Clark was predecease­d by his sister, Kyova (Terry) Zakhour. Clark will also be fondly remembered by his grandchild­ren, Xavier, Layla, and Zachary Zakhour, and his numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Due to COVID-19 restrictio­ns, there will be no public visitation and a private service for immediate family only. Funeral arrangemen­ts have been intrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialist­s, 71 Mcquade Lake Cres., Halifax, 902-835-4212.
