Age 87, died peacefully Friday, December 18, 2020 in Heart of the Valley Long Term Care Facility, Middleton. Vianney formerly lived in Kingston. Born in Jacquet River, N.B., he was a son of the late John and Beatrice (Legacy) Tardif. Vianney finished his career as a Linesman at CFB Greenwood, where he was employed for over 25 years. He was a "Jack of all trades" in that he could do anything. He was a member of St. Monica’s Roman Catholic Church, Middleton, and a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus. Vianney volunteere­d often in the community and was always willing to help others. He loved woodworkin­g and gardening. He is survived by his children, Mary Anne (Rick) Dymond, London, Ont.; Jenny Tardif Flaherty, Kentville; Austin (Cheryl Meade), Alberta; Theresa (Chris) Banks, Greenwood; John Tardif, Alberta; Aaron ( Eva Smith) Tardif, Prince Edward Island; Willa Tardif Bain, Aylesford; many grandchild­ren; brothers, Manuel Tardif, Beloeil, Que.; Freddy (Annette) Tardif, Beloeil, Que.; sister, Loraine (Gussy) Lejeune, Bathurst, N.B.; and sisters-in-law, Theresa (Arsenault) Tardif and Nellie Tardif. Besides his parents he was predecease­d by brothers, Delores, Gregory, Edgar and Arthur; sisters, Evangeline, Leona and Dorilda. A private Celebratio­n of Life will be held in St. Monica’s Roman Catholic Church, Middleton. Due to COVID-19 restrictio­ns this is by invitation from family only. Arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., Middleton, toll free 1-855-825-3448.
