DAVIES, Percival James

Age 95, South Branch, Colchester Co., passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Frederick and Mary Jane ( Daly) Davies. Percival was an electrician by trade. He was determined, independent and possessed the patience to attempt almost any challenge and see it through to a successful conclusion. Dubbed "the quiet one" by his late brother Fred, Perc enjoyed his own company, kept his own counsel and was always ready to lend a hand. He retired with Hazel to acreage once owned by his father-in-law, Reuben ( Mary Etta) Cox in South Branch. Percy is survived by his sister-in-law, Betty (Laurie) Davies; son, Robert (Patricia); granddaughters, Heather and Megan (Scott) Mackey; grandsons, Ryan and Ian Larusic; great- grandchildren, Onyx, Liam, Ava; numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Hazel Mae (Cox); daughter, Jo-ann Marie Larusic; brothers, Albert, Joseph, William, John, Frederick, Laurie; sister, Nora. Thanks to the nursing staff and doctors of E2, Colchester East Hants Health Centre for their care and compassion. Also, appreciation is extended to neighbours, Marg and Sam Vezeau for their friendship and to his niece, Terrie (Norman) Greencorn who acted as a daughter during his final years, with Norman always by her side; your kindness will never be forgotten. Funeralmass will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 30th, in Immaculate Conception Church, 669 Prince St., Truro, Father Dariusz Miskowicz officiating.
