BROWN (Barkhouse), Alice Mildred

Age 91 of Bramber, passed away on December 22 , 2020 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, leaving us with love and wonderful memories. Born in Upper Burlington on June 26, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary (Fish) Barkhouse, birth mother Mildred. Alice is survived by daughter, Karen (Gary) Wile, Bramber; sons, Stuart (Vickie) Brown, Sweets Corner; Leonard Brown, Black River Lake; and Bruce Brown, Centre Burlington; grandsons, Wade and Trevor Wile, Jeremy and Owen Adam Brown; nine great-grandchild­ren, three great grea-grandchild­ren; as well as 13 brothers and sisters scattered all over Canada. She was predecease­d by her husband, "Avard" Lowell Brown; and sons, Owen and Terry Brown. Alice served on many groups and committees in both Baptist Churches in Bramber and Summervill­e. She previously volunteere­d for the Red Cross and was on the committee that founded the group "Peoples First" in Windsor. The family would like to thank CBI Home Care, VON, Dr. Michael Cussens, Doctors and Nurses of Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. A special thank you to care worker Emma Lake who had a warm spot in Mom’s heart. Cremation has taken place, there will be a private family service held in Kempt United Baptist Church, Summervill­e at a later date.
