Age 72, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully December 25, 2020 in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Hamilton, Ont. she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Clarice Chupka. During the 30 years of nursing she had worked at The Hamilton Civic Hospital, Halifax Infirmary, Halifax Victoria General, Portsmouth General in Virginia, and Victoria General in British Columbia. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints in Dartmouth, she looked so forward to her time each Sunday with all the members of the church. Sandra loved her knitting and cross- stitch in her younger years. Many are still displayed throughout the house. Survived by her husband of 53 years, David Brennan of Dartmouth. She met her future husband in high school at the age of 14 and they remained together since. Sandra followed him to Halifax and became a true navy wife; managing the family affairs, raising the family and working at the various hospitals while her husband was away at sea. She is also survived by her children, David Brennan (Rebecca), Barrhaven, Ont.; Joe Brennan, Dartmouth; Robyn Brennan (Jamie), Boutilier’s Point; brother, Jim Fryer of Hamilton, Ont.; sister, Karen Primeau (Terry) of Hamilton, Ont. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada and or a charity of your choice. A special thank you to all the doctors and nursing staff on 4 West and East of the Dartmouth General Hospital. The kindness and caring provided did not go unnoticed by Sandra during her stay.
