Age 77, Troy, Inverness Co. It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved wife, mom and nana. She passed away with loved ones at her side on Thursday, December 24, 2020, in Inverary Manor, Inverness. Born in Campbellto­n, N.B., on January 2, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Winnifred (Goulette) Vienneau. Yvonne is survived by her devoted husband, Martin; son, Blaise; grandchild­ren, Johanna and Conner. Yvonne dedicated many years serving others as a Registered Nurse, a career that brought her immense pride. After graduating from the University of Ottawa with her Nursing Degree, she held positions in Psychiatri­c Nursing, Nursing Instructio­n, Director of Recovery House and Public Health Nurse. Yvonne enjoyed traveling, camping, knitting, singing, dancing and playing piano in the company of those she loved. She was incredibly generous and supported many charities. Yvonne battled Multiple Sclerosis for over 44 years. Yvonne’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Inverary Manor and a special thank you to the team of Highlands Villa where Yvonne resided the last two and a half years. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictio­ns there will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be held from Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Creignish onwednesda­y at 11 a.m. with Father Eugene Morris officiatin­g. Cremation will follow with burial at a later date. Social distancing measures will be in place at the church and facemasks are required at all times. In lieu of flowers, donations to honour Yvonne’s lifelong dedication to the health community may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Atlantic Division or to a charity of one’s choice.
