FOUGERE (Gautreau), Yvette Mary

Age 89, of Dartmouth, passed away suddenly on December 23, 2020 at home. Born in Moncton, N. B., on February 7, 1931, daughter of the late Arthur and Amelia (Hall) Gautreau. Yvette taught school in Moncton in her younger years, before marrying Leo and raising three daughters. When her girls got older, she was a substitute teacher at Birchmount School, but her first love was her family. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and baking. She lived in Dartmouth from 1978-1989, and again from 2007 until her passing, but her heart never left her beloved Moncton. Yvette is survived by daughters, Terry (Tony) MacEachern, Mary Lou (Joe) Beaton, and Susan (Chris) Wisen; granddaugh­ters, Amy ( Josh Allen) Maceachern, Lori ( Dave) Schroeder, Hayley and Chloe Wisen; great- grandson, Fred Schroeder; her sister, Irene LeBlanc and several cousins, nieces and a nephew. Besides her parents, she was predecease­d by husband, Leo (2009); sister, Norma Casey; brothers-in-law, Al Casey and Andre Leblanc. Yvette was a devout Catholic. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish (St. Peter Church - 10 Maple St.), Dartmouth at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 31st. In accordance with COVID-19 regulation­s, attendance is limited and masks must be worn in the church.
