MACINNIS, Stephanie Nicole

-

Age 39, of Saint John, N.B., formerly of Antigonish, passed away suddenly on December 25, 2020 in Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Charlottetown, P.E.I., she was the youngest daughter of Heather Macinnis (Roger Noseworthy) and the late Robert "Buddy" MacInnis. Stephanie is survived by her loving husband, Bret Sears; children, Jake Macinnis and Regan Sears, whom she adored. Also left to mourn are siblings, Angie (Shane) Glenn, Antigonish; Kim (Ryan) Hartlen, Fletchers Lake; grandmother, Doris Macgillivray, Antigonish; inlaws, Donna and Dave Sears, Pinevale. She will be forever missed by her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Predeceased by maternal grandfather, Omer Macgillivray; paternal grandparents, Alice and Colin Macinnis. Stephanie was a kind, generous person with a huge heart, who would leave no stone unturned to help those she loved. She was a devoted mother who took great pride in her children and their many accomplishments. Family and friends will remember her loyal, nonjudgmental character and spirited demeanor. A softer more caring person you could not hope to know. Steph was a hard worker with a fierce determination to complete any goal she set for herself. One of her proudest accomplishments was completing her BBA degree while working a full-time job and raising a young family. Although dealt some difficult hands in life she met every obstacle head-on with perseverance and hard work, without complaint or self-pity. Steph enjoyed few things in life more than Wheel pizza, Sunday afternoon NASCAR or a bonfire with family and friends. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Stephanie during her 39 years, among them: skunks aren’t soccer balls, cats do not belong in the fridge and, never take instruction from sisters when it involves a laundry basket and a steep set of stairs. We find comfort in knowing that Stephanie is now reunited with her dad, whom she adored. No visitation due to COVID-19. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 31st in St. Ninian’s Cathedral with Father Donald Macgillivray presiding. COVID-19 protocols will be in place. Burial in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Memorial donations may be made to your local food bank. The family would like to thank John Macisaac for his kind and compassionate service.
