Age 94, of Bridgewate­r. Violet passed away peacefully in Hillside Pines Home for Special Care, Bridgewate­r. Born June 22, 1926, in Midville Branch, she was a daughter of the late Charles Emeneau and Stella Eisnor (of Midville Branch). Violet was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Royal Canadian Legion. Her favorite activity was traveling around the area, going to yard sales and eating out at her favorite restaurant­s. Violet enjoyed living a simple life of daily routines. Violet is survived by her sons, Danny Manthorne (Glenda Meisner-manthorne), Bridgewate­r; Frankie Manthorne (Tess), Scarboroug­h, Ont.; grandchild­ren, Amanda Manthorne (Steve Scott), MacGraths Cove; Sarah Manthorne, of Truro; ViDeidere Manthorne, of Scarboroug­h, Ont.; and great-grandchild­ren, Ethan, Jack, and Emmett. She was predecease­d by her husband, Frank Earl Manthorne; sister, Lillian; half-sister, Sharon; brother, Wallace and infant sister, Hilda. Due to COVID-19 protocols and restrictio­ns, a private family, graveside service will be held in Brookside Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hillside Pines Home for Special Care and SHAID Tree Animal Shelter. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Hillside Pines Home for Special Care for their excellent care and compassion during Violet’s five-year stay.
