Age 83, formerly of New Minas, peacefully passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020. Born in Port Williams, she was a daughter of the late Avery Bezanson and Hilda Bezanson-ivers. Betty is survived by her daughter, Chardell (Scott) Brydon of Black Rock; brothers, Carl (Juanita) of Port Williams; Charles (Marilyn) Bezanson of Lockhartvi­lle; and Kenneth Bezanson of Port Williams; sister, Vivian (Gilbert) Schofield of Florida; and grandchild­ren, Kyle Evan ( Delaney) Brydon and Mataya Brydon. In addition to her parents, she was predecease­d by her sister, Rita Pick. Betty will be missed dearly by friends and family. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on December 1, 1974. She will always be remembered for her strong belief in the Bible’s promise of a resurrecti­on to perfect everlastin­g life on earth and she diligently shared that message with anyone who would listen. Her family and friends will remember all the cute and lovable stories they have with her and they look forward to the time they can all sing "You Are My Sunshine" together and make new memories with her again. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held via Zoom at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2021. If you wish to attend, please contact Chardell Brydon at: chardellbr­ydon@gmail.com.
