The family of Roger James Robicheau, 69, of Granville Ferry, Annapolis Co., sadly announces his passing early on Monday morning, December 28, 2020 in Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Marshallto­wn, Digby Co., on September 18, 1951 to parents, the late Charles and Lillian (Lewis) Robicheau. Besides his parents, he was also predecease­d by his brother, Wayne Robicheau. Surviving are his wife, Judy Vidito, Granville Ferry; sons, R. Jamie Robicheau, Ottawa, Ont.; Jody (Lisa) Little River, Digby Co.; Charles Robicheau, Calgary, Alta.; stepsons, Kyle Vidito, Hillsburn, Annapolis Co.; Timothy, Granville Ferry; brothers, Billy Robicheau, Marshallto­wn, Digby Co.; Barry Robicheau, Digby; as well as 11 grandchild­ren and 10 great- grandchild­ren. Leaving school, he attended a trade school in Cape Breton where he studied auto repair and autobody. He held several jobs in Digby as a technician in both his trades until the late 70’s when he started scallop fishing on Georges Bank and the Bay of Fundy. But his favourite profession was Roger the Fishman servicing the Annapolis Valley with fresh fish for over 12 years until his retirement. The family wishes to thank the staff at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital who assisted with his care. Roger has been cremated, as per his wishes, with a family graveside service to be held at a later date.
