ANDERSON (Cogswell), Bonnie Lee Margaret

Age 70, of New Minas, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 in Valley Hospice, Kentville, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Geary, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Percy and Margaret (Mclaughlin) Cogswell. Bonnie was gifted in many artistic facets, from quilting, crafts and painting. She was a lover all of all pets, especially her puppy dogs. Later in life, she enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Above all, she was a wonderful wife, exceptiona­l mother and fantastic grandmothe­r. Bonnie is survived by her husband, Vincent Shaw; children, Becky Anderson and Mark (Jackie) Anderson; brother, Jim (Marsha) Cogswell; and grandchild­ren, Dylan, Cassandra, Bailey, Devon, Skyler, William and Vincent II. In addition to her parents, she was predecease­d by her brother, Blaine Cogswell. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks of appreciati­on and gratitude to the Nurses and staff at Valley Hospice and the VON for their exceptiona­l care and compassion. There will be no public visitation by request. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27th, in White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. For those unable to attend, there will be a video webcast available at 1 p.m. In accordance with the Nova Scotia Proof of Full Vaccinatio­n Policy, proof of full vaccinatio­n will be required to attend visitation­s, services and receptions held in or by White Family Funeral Home. A private interment will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
