Easter egg hunts planned each day during weekend

Kids can take in 5 Easter egg hunts in Central Okanagan, and there’s even 1 for adults Sunday

Children can load up on Easter eggs and egg hunts taking place all over the Central Okanagan this weekend. Victory Life Fellowship in Kelowna will play host to an Easter egg hunt and pancake breakfast on Friday. The free event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Parkinson Recreation Centre. There’s no cost, but guests are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for the local food bank.

On Saturday, Kelowna Hyundai will host an Easter egg hunt for children 10 and younger. The free event, which runs from 10 a.m. to noon, will also feature a bouncy house and a pancake breakfast. It will be held at Kelowna Hyundai, 3260 Highway 97 N.

Also Saturday, the Smith Creek Neighbourh­ood Associatio­n in West Kelowna will present an Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. in Smith Creek Park.

On Sunday, Easter egg hunts for children and adults will be presented at Quails’ Gate Winery in West Kelowna. The children’s egg hunt runs from noon to 1 p.m., while the adults’ hunt runs from 1 to 2 p.m.

Also in West Kelowna, the seventh annual Easter Scramble will be presented from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Park by the Johnson-Bentley pool. The egg hunt begins at 1 p.m. It’s for ages 10 and under with a separate area for toddlers, a petting zoo, face painting and hotdogs. Bring your Easter basket and a donation for the Central Okanagan Food Bank.
