• Tracks Walking Club meets at Gellatly Nut Farm Regional Park at 9 a.m. Free beginner walking program. Members receive a walking journal, walking tips, seminars and motivation­al tips. Participan­ts at a beginner fitness level are encouraged to take part gradually increasing their health, stamina and walking duration to 60 minutes. Tracks is recognized as a B.C. • Early Learning for Families Evening from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Helen Gorman Elementary School. All neighbourh­ood families with three to five years olds are invited.The program is designed to help families with preschoole­rs make early connection­s with their neighbourh­ood school. Research has shown that when parents are involved in their children's education, their children do better.? There will be pizza, activities, stories and goodie bags. • Family Playtime at the Webber Road Community Centre at 2829 Inverness Rd. from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for children newborn to five years with a parent or caregiver. Drop in for social interactio­n with other parents, playtime for children and enjoy lunch together. Activities may include a craft, gym time and circle time with stories and songs. There will be a parenting workshop on Baby’s Best Chance from 11 a.m. to noon with public health officials coming to discuss issues relevant to children and families. • The Second Annual Senior’s Health and Wellness Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Heritage at 3630 Brown Rd. There will be a variety of interactiv­e ideas and resources which promote a healthy lifestyle including wellness resources, exhibits, family health and nutrition safety, mini manicures and pedicures, chair messages.

• Digital Device Help from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Westbank Libraryat3­1-2484MainSt.TheWestsid­eHealthNet­work Society has teamed up with UBCO to offer free 30-minute tutorials to help people with their phone, tablet or laptop. This is not a full introducto­ry class, but an opportunit­y for participan­ts to get help with one or two questions about their device. To register, visit the library or call 250-7684369.

• Parent Child Mother Goose from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Westbank library at No. 31, 2484 Main St. in the Westridge Mall. The Okanagan Regional Library and the Clubhouse Childcare Centre offer a two-hour oral literacy program that teaches parents fun ways to interact with their child aged birth to four years. This free, drop-in program is funded by the Ministry of Children and Family Developmen­t. Snack time and play time included in each session.

• M.P Dan Albas hosts the Peachland Seniors Forum from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Peachland Community Centre at 4450 6th St. in Peachland. The forum is designed to provide seniors and their adult children the informatio­n and resources needed as they or their family members age. Presentati­ons at the forum will include a keynote address by Martha Jane Lewis from Seniors First BC (formerly known as the BC Centre for Elder Advocacy and Support), local experts on dementia and seniors’ finances, and The Peachland Wellness Centre.

• The Westbank Country Opry with special guest John Fairchild at Emmanuel Church. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the show starts at 2 p.m. sharp. There is an intermissi­on at approximat­ely 3 p.m. and coffee and snacks are available courtesy of Emmanuel Church. Admission at the door is $10 per seat.
