Robberies linked, police seek suspect

-

Kelowna RCMP are seeking a suspect or perhaps suspects in a series of break-ins with a common thread that seems to link them.

An image obtained from video surveillance from one of the crimes is being released in an effort to generate tips from the public.

On March 27, police received a report of a break and enter to a business in the 1800 block of Harvey Avenue. Police believe the suspect had thrown a rock through the front glass window of the business, reached inside and grabbed thousands of dollars worth of sports jerseys.

On March 29, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a business in the 2200 block of Enterprise Way. Police determined that entry was gained inside the building through a broken side glass door. Once inside the suspect stolen several items including computers, cash, jerseys and a signed baseball cap.

On April 3, police attended to a report of a break and enter to a business in the 1700 block of Cooper Road. Once again, entry was gained inside the business through a smashed glass door. A large amount of clothing including soccer team jackets, brand name winter jackets, track pants, hoodies and footwear were all taken.

Most recently, on April 26, last Wednesday, police received reports of a mischief to a business located in the 1800 block of Harvey Avenue, where a suspect was observed walking away from the scene on foot. Upon attendance, police recognized that the same business had been broken into on March 27. A closer examination of the scene and further investigation determined that more jerseys were in fact stolen.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
