-

Spring in the Okanagan can mean only one thing — championship baseball.

The Okanagan College Coyotes are hosting the 2017 Canadian College Baseball Conference Championship starting today, with the final Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

The Coyotes went 15-13 this season, but an 8-2 run over their last 10 games has the team looking to make a run this week.

“We have been working hard all year for this weekend, we had some bumps and bruises along the way, but we have been playing better baseball of late. If we pitch well and to our capability we will have a chance,” said head coach Geoff White.

The Coyotes open against Fraser Valley tonight at 7:30 p.m., then play Vancouver Island on Thursday (7:30 p.m.), Pacific Baseball Academy on Friday (7:30 p.m.) and Calgary on Saturday (1 p.m.)

All games are at Elks Stadium, starting at 10 a.m. today. There will be 12 games in total.
