Cherryville Days back for 54th year
The 54th annual Cherryville Days is back for a weekend of fun next week.
The two-day event will kick off on Saturday, June 3, with a pancake breakfast at Cherryville Community Hall, followed by a barbeque cooking competition at Tea Garden.
“It's a good weekend for everyone to get back together again and have a good time with family and friends,” said Karyn Kelly Kyciek, chair of the event. “We're really excited to put it on, and we're hoping the weather cooperates with us.”
The Cherryville Days parade will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m., leaving from the Cherryville Emporium.
Other activities on Saturday include a baking contest, a pet show, a car show and Valhalla helicopter rides.
An adult dance will be held at Cherryville Community Hall at 9 p.m. Tickets cost $15 and are available at Cherryville Emporium, Frank's General Store and Jitter Beans Coffee House in Lumby.
Sunday will be another full day of activities, including a horseshoe tournament, a treasure hunt and family games.
Cherryville Days will end with a community dinner at Tea Garden on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. Tickets cost $10 and are available at the Tea Garden on June 3 or at the horseshoe tournament Sunday morning.
Cherryville Days is a fundraiser for the Cherryville Community Club, which manages and maintains the community facilities, Cherryville Community Hall and Hanson Park.
