• Family Playtime at the Webber Road Community Centre at 2829 Inverness Rd. from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for children newborn to five years with a parent or caregiver. Drop in for social interaction with other parents, playtime for children and enjoy lunch together. Activities may include a craft, gym time and circle time with stories and songs. Free. • Have you always wanted to learn how to bellydance? Join Leona Planko Finlayson at the first ever Wine and Bellydance lesson from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Little Straw Vineyards at 2815 Ourtoland Rd. Finlayson will share the movements of this beautiful dance form and bring hip scarves, veils and other props for you to try. Finlayson has been teaching for almost 15 years, providing a safe and fun environment for women to learn in. If you are feeling a little nervous about trying something new there will be wine tasting too. The class costs $15 per person or $25 for two. • The Bat Education and Ecological Protection Society will be holding a bat count at dusk. Come help count as the bats leave the attic of the Peachland Historic Primary School building at 5684 Beach Ave.

• Go Fish at Shannon Lake Regional Park, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The pond will be stocked with trout, ready and waiting to be caught. Freshwater Fisheries Society and volunteers from the Peachland Sportsmen’s Association will be on hand to help new fishers. This program is for children 15 and under, with a one fish per day limit. No fishing license is required for B.C. children 15 and under. A limited number of rods, reels and bait will be available each weekend for youngsters to use.

• The fifth annual Sip into Summer from noon to 5 p.m. at 13 wineries. Take a self-guided tour of the Westside Wine Trail, where each participating winery will be showcasing their summer white wines. • West Kelowna Blood Donor Clinic at Lakeview Heights Baptist Church at 2630 Alhambra Dr. from noon to 7 p.m. There are 20 open appointments. Book now at blood. ca or the GiveBlood app. Many eligibility requirements have been updated including removing the upper age limit. Donors must be 17 or older. • Self-Management And Recovery Training Recovery meeting 7 p.m. at the Westbank Lions Community Hall. SMART Recovery's four-point program helps people recover from all types of addictive behaviours, including alcoholism, drug abuse, substance abuse, drug addiction, alcohol abuse, gambling addiction, cocaine addiction and addiction to other substances and activities. Meetings are free, confidential and last for about an hour.
• Drop-in basketball for kids eight to 12 years old from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. at the George Pringle Elementary School gym at 3770 Elliott Rd. Drop in costs $2 or buy a book of 10 tickets for $18. • Let’s Talk Diabetes, presented by the Diabetes Association, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Johnson-Bentley pool. This free talk was developed for adults living with diabetes and caregivers who wish to learn more about the disease. Learn helpful tips for day-to-day healthy living with diabetes, including nutrition, weight management and goal setting, plus the signs and symptoms of common complications associated with diabetes such as neuropathy, retinopathy and chronic kidney disease. Participants must register in advance by calling 250-768-4442.

• Parent Child Mother Goose from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Westbank library. The Okanagan Regional Library and the Clubhouse Childcare Centre offer a two-hour oral literacy program that teaches parents fun ways to interact with their child aged birth to four years. This free, drop-in program is funded by the Ministry of Children and Family Development. Snack time and play time included in each session.
Tuesday, June 6
• Tracks Walking Club meets at Gellatly Nut Farm Regional Park at 9 a.m. Free beginner walking program. Members receive a walking journal, walking tips, seminars and motivational tips. Participants at a beginner fitness level are encouraged to take part gradually increasing their health, stamina and walking duration to 60 minutes. Tracks is recognized as a B.C.
