Widows shunned

Editor: I was first widowed at age 49 and again at 67. Once more, I experience the same rejection by “couples.” And I have now spoken to many other widows who have experienced the same.

Friends and neighbours, widows are soooo not after your husbands. We, in fact, still love to see the connection between husbands and wives because we had that. And seeing that reminds us of our own beautiful memories.

My hope is that you women out there will be more receptive to us widows because you may very well become one of us in your lifetime.
