The Bat Education and Ecological Protection Society will be holding a bat count at dusk. Come help count as the bats leave the attic of the Peachland Historic Primary School building at 5684 Beach Ave. The Westbank Farmers’ Market goes from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Westridge Shopping Centre on the corner of Main Street and Elliott Road. Fishing Forever Handicap Fishing Derby, hosted by the Peachland Sportsmen’s Association from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Heritage Park in Peachland. This event is for handicapped and disabled people of all ages. Family members and friends are welcome to come. Everything will be supplied for free, including bait, tackle and a barbecue lunch. Kath and the Tomkats perform at the Peachland Rotary Peace Concert at the Rotary Pavilion in Heritage Park in Peachland. Food kiosk opens at 3 p.m. Music at 4 p.m. Bring your lawn chair. Donations from the public provide funding for shelter boxes, which are deployed to disaster areas around the world. Peachland Farmers and Crafters Market is open in Heritage Park on Beach Avenue in Peachland from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
