Rattlesnake Island Swim Seven-kilometre swim to Rattlesnake Island and back starts from Peachland at 7 a.m. Swimmers doing the 3.1-km swim from the island to Peachland will be transported to Rattlesnake Island at 6:45 a.m. for an 8 a.m. start. Money raised supports the Okanagan Swim program, which provides free swimming lessons for Grade 3 students. Register at rattlesnakeislandswim.com. Organizers are looking for volunteer lifeguards. Coffee and sweets will be served. Miniature sawmill Learn how a sawmill works as the Westbank Museum and Visitor Centre, 2376 Dobbin Rd., will be running its miniature sawmill at noon. The museum has the only working miniature sawmill in B.C.
