Power of piano program can enrich your children

-

Are you looking for a unique artistic musical experience that is a long-term investment for you, the parent, while also benefitting the development and future of your child?

According to Steinway and Sons, “piano practice boosts cognitive and intellectual abilities by activating similar parts of the brain used in spatial reasoning, which Àgures heavily in math, science and engineering. And children who have a few years of piano study under their belts can remember 20 per cent more vocabulary words than their peers.”

The early childhood music education program of Children’s Piano-Arts Corner Studio (CPAC), especially suited for children ages 4 and up, offers a fun and inspiring group music appreciation course as well as creative individual piano instruction. Individualized lessons embraces the whole child, acknowledges individual talents, establishes a solid musical foundation, builds skills and develops abilities to reach fullest potential by reaching personal goals and gaining rewarding results.

The focus is on the enjoyment and adventure of learning to play artistically. Children learn to express beauty, stirring emotions and feelings and their creative personality through music story telling.

The CPAC curriculum enables children at a young age, through in-house studio showcases and community tours, to exhibit their artistic abilities, talents and practice stage presence skills and performance etiquette. Youngsters learn to feel good, be proud of their uniqueness and shine from the core outwards.

CPAC director/owner Claudia Kargl embraces the wonderful and collaborative inter-generational spirit of childparent-grandparent learning and sharing the music making experience.

Family members are encouraged to actively participate with their children to share their musical abilities.

Audiences are treated to solo, duet and small ensemble performances of classical, popular and musicals repertoire.

According to Steinway and Sons, “piano lessons for older adults have a signiÀcant impact on increased levels of human growth hormone, which slows the adverse effects of aging.”

In addition to the very popular Twinkle Little Star course of study for children, CPAC offers The Magic of Music, a group music appreciation program for 4-8 year olds that involves the inter-action of child with parent or grandparent in the learning process. (maximum 14 participants).

This program consisting of seven sessions starting either Thursday, Sept. 7, or Monday, Sept. 11, from 4 – 5:30 p.m. Famous composers and compositions, and well-known musical stories and tales from faraway lands will be introduced.

Kargl, director /owner of the CPAC studio and AD LIB Art Gallery, is a multi-disciplinary artist performer, mentor, writer, creative photographer, presenter and program designer with a national and international background with 38 years of extensive teaching experience. She has been acknowledged three times for her professional teaching excellence from The Canadian Federation of Music Teachers’ Association.
