BREAK AND ENTER TO CAGED COMPOUND

July 31 RCMP file: 2017-44508 Kelowna RCMP were dispatched to a break and entered that occurred around 3:00 a.m. on July 31st at Brandt’s Creek Pub on Glenmore Road. Two men exited an older model GMC Jimmy or Chevy Blazer with Cooper white wall tires and winter rims. They cut the lock to the compound and stole some of the contents from within, including empty bottles. Aug. 15, 2017 RCMP file: 2017-48375 A theft was reported by the staff at the Winners Store located on Cooper Road in Kelowna on August 15th. A man was seen on video selecting several t-shirts, pairs of jeans and socks and placing them in a basket before leaving without paying for the items. An associated female was outside the store waiting for the man. RCMP would like to identify this male person of interest. Maps show property crimes in Kelowna and West Kelowna, Aug. 7-20. Aug. 22, 2017 RCMP file: 2017-50256 While a man was working in the back yard at his home on the 3000 block of Coventry Crescent in West Kelowna thieves worked on prying open the front door. The homeowner entered the house after being in the yard for an hour to find complete disarray. The thieves ransacked the home and stole his wallet and other items (list not yet available). Keys for a Hyundai Veloster were on the kitchen counter, which the thieves drove out of the garage. The stolen vehicle is a grey 2013 Hyundai Veloster with BC plate number 053TVK and VIN KMHTC6AD1D­U101549. BREAK AND ENTER/MISCHIEF

Aug. 23 RCMP file: 2017-50457 Staff from Westbank Irrigation District offices contacted West Kelowna RCMP when they discovered gates to the property on the 3000 block of Shetler Drive had been entered at 3:40 a.m. on August 23rd. A man wearing running shoes, blue shorts, red welding goggles and a bandana covering his face used bolt cutters to cut a lock at the water treatment plant gate. He then walked about 3 kms down a dirt road and cut a lock on a second gate. He walked around the property but did not enter any of the buildings nor gain access to the water intake system.The man left with the ruined locks.
