Trudeau not working for us

- Marilynn Langmaid, Kelowna

Editor: Justin Trudeau is not my prime minister and this is not my Liberal party.

We went to the charade at the university and listened to Trudeau say repeatedly that every topic was important to him and proceed to double talk with no hint of a solution.

What is reconciliation with the natives? What exactly do both sides have to do to achieve it? As long as indigenous people are First Nations first and Canadians second and as long as they can go on our land and we have to get permission to go on theirs, it is naive to think there will ever be a bonding of the two groups.

The revision of the income tax laws will shut down a lot of small businesses and discourage new ones starting up which will reduce jobs and cause unemployment. It will decrease the number of doctors in an ever increasing shortage. How many Canadians are without a G.P. and the waiting lists for specialists are unacceptable.

The Liberals continue to spend lavish amounts of money on refugees and shortchange our veterans, seniors and underprivileged children.

The Liberals won’t take more money from the one per cent Trudeau talks about because both Trudeau and Finance Minister Bill Morneau are members of the one per cent. The tax will once again target the working middle class.

The Liberals are desperate for money to fund their extravagant spending on everyone and everything except their fellow Canadians.
