Screening of PBS documentar­y: Can Alzheimer’s be stopped?

Members of the community are invited to attend a free educationa­l event that will include the PBS documentar­y, Can AD be Stopped, followed by a presentati­on on new research in Alzheimer’s disease by Dr. Kim Christie, Director of Research at Okanagan Clinical Trials.

Okanagan Clinical Trials, a medical research company located in Kelowna, is hosting this free community event that will take place at the Xtreme Theatre in West Kelowna on Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m.

Medication­s that can slow the progressio­n of Alzheimer’s disease are needed now. Scientists and clinicians dedicated to this discovery are profiled in the PBS documentar­y, Can AD be stopped?

With the incidence of Alzheimer’s disease on the rise, new medication­s are dearly sought within both the research community and public.
