Salmon Egg Take Kingfisher Interpreti­ve Centre Society hosts its annual Salmon Egg Take event, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The day starts on the river, netting the fish, collecting the eggs and milt. Participan­ts then return to the centre to fertilize the eggs and put them into the salmon incubator. This family event is an opportunit­y to get an up-close look at local Chinook salmon. Some of the eggs collected will be taken to local schools. Some waders and life jackets available to borrow. Bring your own, if you can. The centre is 25 km east of Enderby at 2550 Mabel Lake Rd.
