GYM LOCKER THEFTS

Oct 10 RCMP files: 2017-61555, 2017-61418 etc. Kelowna RCMP are looking for two women they believe to be responsibl­e for thefts from four local gyms on Oct. 10. The first theft was reported just after 7:30 a.m. when someone entered a locker in the women’s change room at Goodlife Fitness on Gordon Drive. A 2008 white/beige Ford Escape with B.C. plate number DS501N was taken. Just before 9 a.m., police received a call from a victim at Steve Nash gym whose keys were taken from an unlocked gym locker. The woman’s 2012 black Mini Cooper with B.C. plate number CM855P was taken, along with the woman’s wallet. The bank cards were used at several nearby businesses. Just after 1 p.m., thieves hit Mission Fitness Centre on Gordon Drive and cleaned out a locker containing a wallet and keys to a grey 2009 Hyundai Elantra with B.C. licence plate number 744RSE. Hours later, a gym bag was taken from a woman’s locker at the YMCA on Hartman Road. When the woman discovered the loss she alerted her boyfriend, who ran to the parking lot and confronted a suspicious woman near their vehicle. The woman departed in a beige SUV with another person. The woman is described as a black female in her 20s with long dyed red hair wearing tight skinny jeans and white sneakers. The second suspect is a Caucasian female in her 20s wearing a baggy T-shirt and a tuque. THEFT OF AVALANCHE AIRBAG

Oct. 10 RCMP file: 2017-61554 Kelowna RCMP members were called on Oct. 10 by staff at Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) when it was discovered a $1,250 Avalanche airbag had been stolen. Video surveillan­ce was viewed, which revealed this person of interest walking out of the Orchard Plaza store at approximat­ely 5:20 p.m. sporting the black and red Arc’Teryx Voltair 20 Avalanche Airbag. Sept. 25 RCMP file: 2017-58034 RCMP were called when an outboard motor was stolen off a boat stored in a parking lot at a condo building on the 3800 block of Brown Road on Sept. 24. Thieves stole a white with black 9.9-horsepower Johnson motor (model J10RE0M) with serial number C8196251. THEFT AND MISCHIEF AT GELLATLY WHARF

Oct. 6 RCMP file: 2017-60738 Staff from the City of West Kelowna contacted RCMP on Oct. 6 when an overnight theft was discovered. Someone had pried open a steel cabinet mounted on a power pole at the Gellatly Wharf that housed a mini computer, a server and a hard drive for the area’s video cameras. The mini computer and the hard drive were both taken. The hard drive is a Western Digital fourteraby­te external hard drive with serial number WCC4E3HH1A­Y. MISCHIEF TO VEHICLE

Oct. 3 RCMP file: 2017-60023 On Oct. 3, a Copper Hill Road resident contacted Lake Country RCMP after discoverin­g his car had been damaged overnight. It appears an suspect had taken a rock and smashed the windshield on the drivers’ side of the black Mitsubishi 3000 in two places, resulting in glass debris covering the inside of the vehicle. Damage was also sustained on the hood. THEFTS FROM VEHICLES

Oct 5 RCMP file: 2017-60212, 2017-60434, 2017-60499 Several vehicles were entered with items reported stolen during the early morning hours of Oct. 4. A car on the 2200 block of Lacresta Road had a Samsung Galaxy phone taken (s/n 3596530632­30331). A van at a neighbouri­ng home was entered. A red leather wallet and keychain full of charms were stolen. The wallet was found nearby, minus credit and debit cards, which were used in Vernon. A car parked in a driveway on the 11000 block of Daniel Drive was also entered, The thief took a Garmin Nuvi 2597 GPS navigation unit (s/n 3VT406005).
