Workshops will show people what the visual arts program is all about

Artists potentially interested in UBC Okanagan’s visual arts program are welcome to attend Creative Days events at the university today and on Saturday, Nov. 18.

Creative Days workshops are an opportunity for anyone interested in the Visual Arts Bachelor of Fine Arts program or people wanting to find out more about the visual arts courses to take part in fun, hands-on projects.

The workshops will allow participants to learn something new and see what a universitylevel course is like.

There is also an opportunity to work with university faculty and staff, and have the chance to meet and talk with students about program choices.

UBC will also host a Portfolio Day in January that will give students an opportunity to begin preparing their application package and portfolio for the program.

There are limited seats available for some workshops, but anyone who shows up today will be welcomed.

Today’s workshop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. will feature Aleksandra Dulic from Music of Heavens Animation using stop-motion techniques

On Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Katherine Pickering will lead a workshop on Life Drawing from the Model.

The location is the Creative and Critical Studies building, 1148 Research Rd,
