BREAK, ENTER AND THEFT Nov. 24, 2017 RCMP file: 2017-70416

Sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 4:40 p.m. on Nov. 23, a home in the 11500 block of Artela Drive in Lake Country was entered and ransacked. The thief entered the home by ripping off the screen on a small rear window and prying the window open with a pry tool before unlocking the deadbolt.

Once inside many of the rooms were rummaged through and the owners are now missing cash, a bag of change, passports, jewellery, a Tikka T3 rifle in a soft brown case and an Excalibur camo crossbow.

Neighbours noted a white Mazda 3 in the driveway that could be related to the theft.

MISCHIEF AT TUGBOAT BAY DATE: Nov.29 RCMP FILE: 2017-71583

The City of Kelowna received a call early on the morning of Nov. 29 when a citizen noticed damage to the lights lining Waterfront Park.

Sometime overnight approximat­ely 25 of the light standards from the bird sanctuary in Tug Boat Bay along Waterfront Park to the Delta Grand Hotel had been smashed resulting in almost $30,000 in damages.

Crime Stoppers is offering a minimum reward of $1000 for tips leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsibl­e for this vandalism.

BREAK AND ENTER DATE: Nov. 20 RCMP FILE: 2017-69771

A daylight break and enter occurred at a home on Marathon Court in Rose Valley on Nov. 20. The residents were out 11:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. when a thief(s) broke in through a rear upper door. The thief left with jewelry including this Vera Wang Love Collection diamond engagement ring and 14 kt yellow gold diamond earrings.
