You can help others have a merry Warrior Christmas

-

The West Kelowna Warriors are having the seventh annual Pastor Don’s Christmas Hamper Night Saturday during a game against the Trail Smoke Eaters.

The night has been a big success since its inception in 2010 as the cash donations during the game will be used to purchase groceries and deliver the goods to needy families in West Kelowna and provide an opportunity to have a holiday meal.

“It is an honour as the Warriors chaplain to coordinate our seventh annual West Kelowna Warriors Christmas Hamper Night,” said Warriors chaplain and Pastor Don Richmond.

“At our home game on Dec. 9, we will collect funds that will be used to purchase groceries for 50 hampers, which will be delivered to needy families in West Kelowna.

“I am very grateful for the wonderful support toward this hamper program that has been shown by the Warriors faithful fan base in the past,” Richmond said.

“I am confident that this year, we will have success at our Christmas Hamper night.”

The Warriors will be collecting cash donations on Saturday night when West Kelowna hosts Trail for the second time this season and the third game of their season series.

To go along with the cash donations, $1 from every game ticket will go to Don’s Christmas Hamper Program.

Puck drop is slated for 7 p.m. with tickets available for purchase online at wkw.goticketpro.com, at the Warriors office, by calling 250-769-705.
