Come, enjoy the magic at Gellatly Nut Farm

-

Enjoy some winter magic at the Gellatly Nut Farm Regional Park Dec. 16 and 17.

Lights will be installed in the park’s heritage hazelnut grove and people are invited to come to the park Dec. 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. to bring ornaments to decorate a tree.

The ornaments must be suitable for outdoor conditions and people are asked not to bring glass ornaments or keepsake ornaments that are important to them.

People can also make ornaments and indigenous style decorations at craft tables that will be set up.

From 4 to 7 p.m. the grove will be open for the public to stroll the pathways and enjoy the lights and decorations.

The grove will be open for viewing again Dec. 17 from 4 to 7 p.m.

All ornaments can be retrieved after Dec. 17.

On both days, people can stop for hot chocolate and refreshments in the warming tent and have fun with seasonal activities for the whole family.

This is a free event. No registration is required.

Car pooling is encouraged as parking is limited at the Gellatly Nut Farm.

People are asked to obey the on-site traffic control people.

There is also on-street parking in the area.
