Sex-act robber arrested
A Kelowna man who was hired to perform a live sex show but instead conducted an armed robbery has been arrested.
Last week, Cal Little, 52, was found guilty of robbery using a prohibited firearm, three counts of possession of a firearm without a licence, occupying a vehicle knowing a firearm was present, possession of a loaded prohibited shotgun and possession of a prohibited shotgun with readily accessible ammunition.
His co-accused Heather Nystrom was also found guilty of all seven counts.
When the two were found guilty, however, Little was on the run from police.
On Sunday, Mounties received a tip Little was seen running northbound along Ethel Street.
Officers converged on the area and engaged in a foot chase, which ended in an alley adjacent to Cameron Park, where Little was arrested, said Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.
Little and Nystrom were hired in July 2016 to perform a live sex show for a Kelowna man.
Once inside the man’s condo, Little pointed a shotgun at the man and told him it was a robbery. Little and Nystrom stole $400 from the man along with his cellphone.
They were arrested on July 15, 2016, but were both released on bail. Nystrom was subsequently re-arrested after breaching her release terms.
A warrant was issued for Little’s arrest on Dec. 18. A sentencing date is expected to be scheduled for March.
