THEFT AND MISCHIEF TO VEHICLES

Jan. 10 RCMP file: 20181575 The property representa­tives of a complex located on Chapman Place in Kelowna contacted RCMP on Jan. 10 to report overnight damage to vehicles. A suspect pried open a lower access door gaining entry to the building’s parkade at approximat­ely 4 a.m. Once inside, the suspect broke into at least nine vehicles by smashing the windows. The suspect left with smaller items including change and a wallet. The suspect hid his face and worse purple gloves and a yellow, hooded jacket.

THEFT OF TRAILER AND EXCAVATOR

Jan. 26 RCMP file: 2018-4601 RCMP were called to a break, enter and theft at a utility yard on the 1500 block of Spall Road in Kelowna occurring overnight between January 23 and Jan. 24. Thieves left with a 2017 orange and grey Brandt tilt flat deck trailer (B.C. licence plate number 57398U, VIN 2BYUT2EB7H­R000329) and a yellow 2018 35G John Deere long arm compact excavator (Unit 01677 and VIN 1FF035GXCH­K280901). The trailer is unique with its orange nose and the excavator has Fortis decals on the body. Approximat­e value is more than $100,000. THEFT FROM VEHICLE

Jan. 26 RCMP file: 2018-4666 A woman whose car was parked at a winery on the 300 block of Boucherie Road had her grey four-door Hyundai sedan broken into between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 26. The driver’s door was damaged where the suspect used a tool to jimmy open the door. The thief stole a large black shoulder bag containing a silver iPad Air 2 in a black case with serial number DMTT26HMG5­YP. THEFT OF HUBCAPS Jan. 26 RCMP file: 2018-4633 A woman attended the West Kelowna RCMP detachment on Jan. 26 to file a report of an overnight theft. Someone had stolen three hubcaps from her green 2007 Infiniti FX35 between midnight and 9 a.m. LIQUOR STORE BREAK AND ENTER

Jan. 27 RCMP file: 2018-4738 An alarm sounded at a liquor store located on the 11,800 block of Oceola Road in Lake Country just after 4 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27. Security footage was viewed and RCMP were able to see two suspects enter the store by smashing the glass door at approximat­ely 4:03 a.m. They left the store with arms full of product in just under 60 seconds.

The first suspect, with a large build, had a masculine appearance and was wearing a dark hoodie (hood up) dark pants and brown work boots. His face was covered and he was wearing dark gloves.

The second suspect was smaller, but still appeared to be male, and was wearing a dark coloured hoodie (hood up), a jacket with the Avengers logo on the back and dark coloured gloves, pants and boots. The suspects may have been driving a newer light coloured compact car.
