The Daily Courier

Wilkinson’s photo too large

-

Dear editor: New Liberal leader Andrew Wilkinson’s picture in The Courier (Page A4, Feb. 5) was big and bold. He’s yet to do anything for the people of B.C. that’s worthwhile.

Dave Barrett’s two pictures in the Courier (“Former NDP premier dies,” Page A1, Feb. 2; Editorial: “Barrett’s legacy lives on,” Page A6, Feb. 4) were so small you could barely recognize who it was, yet Dave Barrett was the best premier ever.

It goes to show who editor James Miller’s political preference is, along with his newspaper. There never ever will be a right wing political Liberal that will ever achieve what Dave Barrett did in just three years.

My vote on Valentine’s Day won’t be for the rich Ben Stewart, who took more than $300,000 from the people of B.C. while in China. I’ll stand strong for the NDP’s policies that we still enjoy today, all set up by Dave Barrett.

We will miss the greatest politician that walked on B.C. soil. Thanks Dave, you did it all right for the left. Mel Gauthier West Kelowna
