Lenten Lectures Dr. Amir Hussain, professor of theologica­l studies at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, will speak in a series of lectures Friday and Saturday at First United Church. Hussain, a Canadian, teaches courses on Islam and world religions, and specialize­s in the study of contempora­ry Muslim societies in North America. His lectures will focus on his book, Oil and Water: Two Faiths, One God. There are four lectures: 7 p.m. on Friday, and 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
