CONSTRUCTI­ON SITE THEFT

May 4, 2018 RCMP file: 2018-23174 RCMP were called to a constructi­on site at Ledge Rock Court near Wilden Ridge Drive and Skyland Drive when a witness reported seeing two suspects using a torch to break into a sea can. The suspects left in a black truck. A front-end loader was damaged and had fuel siphoned. Many items were taken, including two Wacker Neuson jumping jacks with Winn Rental stickers, a 200-pound APT plate tamper, a Bomag 1845 compaction plate tamper with a Winn Rental sticker (s/n 8618341117­40), two 15-inch Stihl cut-off saws, seven boxes of Gaurdol 15-40 engine oil, a gas-powered Stihl drill along with a variety of chains, wrenches, and miscellane­ous tools. Total value of damage and tools are over $25,000. STOLEN STREET LIGHTS

May 7 RCMP file: 2018-23886 Sometime during the weekend of May 4-7, eight street lights were stolen from a constructi­on site on Shayler Road in the McKinley Beach area. The lock on a sea can was cut with a saw and the eight lights worth $1,500 each were taken. Nearby, in the 3900 block of Glenmore Road a similar theft occurred at another constructi­on site where thieves cut a hole in a sea can and stole a generator. BOBCAT STOLEN

May 8 RCMP file: 2018-24109 Sometime between 5 p.m. on May 7 and 9 a.m. the next morning, a 2008 white and black Bobcat UTV Side X Side diesel was stolen from a constructi­on site on the 12700 block of Lake Hill Drive in Lake Country. The UTV has no licence plate and VIN #A59W11873. There is a Bobcat loading bucket accessory attached to the front. Keys are accounted for. Total value of the unit is about $25,000.
