THEFT OF GASOLINE May 22, 2018 RCMP file: 2018-27241

Staff from the City of West Kelowna contacted the RCMP on May 22 when they discovered three city vehicles parked at 2760 Cameron Road were rendered useless overnight. Suspects drilled the gas tanks of the vehicles, stealing the gas and leaving behind a pool of gasoline. Video surveillan­ce shows two suspects who left in a dark coloured pick-up truck.

CONSTRUCTI­ON SITE BREAK AND ENTER May 21 RCMP file: 2018-27028

Thieves broke the lock off a gate and entered a constructi­on site located in the 1400 block of Tower Ranch Drive in the early hours of May 21. They cut the locks off two sea cans and a tool box attached to the back of a work truck. The thieves made off with thousands of dollars of tools, including two hydraulic presses, new Viberg work boots and a large quantity of Snap On tools. One of the sea cans held a red with purple 2014 Polaris Ranger side by side, which was driven off the property. The Ranger’s VIN is 4XATH7EAXE­2298849.

BREAK AND ENTER AT SCANDIA May 23 RCMP file: 2018-27485

The manager of Scandia Golf and Games on Highway 97 in Kelowna reported a break and enter that occurred between 5:45 and 6 a.m. on May 23. Surveillan­ce video shows two individual­s smashing the glass door at the rear of the building and entering the premises. They proceeded to the beverage cooler and the candy/toy counter, filling their arms and departing through the smashed door. Both suspects had their faces covered and wore gloves, but it appears one suspect is a male and the other a female. The male suspect wore a distinct fluorescen­t green leg brace.

THEFT OF TRAILER AND TOOLS May 20 RCMP file: 2018-26804

A carpenter’s trailer and tools disappeare­d overnight May 19-20 from a site in the 2600 block of Paramount Drive in the Shannon Lake area of West Kelowna. The unit is a white 2015 TNT TRA6 tandem axle box trailer with VIN 5WBBE1220F­W008999 and B.C. plate number 77894D. The trailer held a long list of tools (mostly flooring) including: an Oreon carpet seam iron, a Kool Glide seam iron, a Duo-Fast carpet stapler (model 1016055), a 100-pound floor roller, a two-hp 2.6 gallon Makita compressor, Roberts dual air glider, Clark American Sanders Super 7R floor edger and many other Makita, Dewalt and Bostich power

CRIME: THEFT OF AUTO May 23 RCMP file: 2018-27482

The owner of a stolen auto contacted RCMP on the morning of May 23 to report the disappeara­nce. The grey 2005 Acura MDX was parked at a residence in the 11000 block of Jardines Road in Lake Country. The SUV’s VIN number is 2HNYD18975­H002387 and B.C. plate number CB604G.
