Dog ambassadors returning to regional parks

Regional district dog ambassadors are back in the Central Okanagan this summer.

They will be visiting local beaches and parks rewarding dogs and their owners with goodies for being responsible.

They will conÀrm whether or not dogs are licenced and educate owners about the rules of licencing and having their dogs on leashes.

“They don’t enforce the bylaw or issue tickets,” said Bruce Smith, spokesperson for the regional district.

“Instead, they’re an information source and resource, promoting the principles supported by the responsible dog ownership bylaw.”
