GRANITE AT McKINLEY BEACH CONDOS NOW 75% SOLD OUT! TOWN HOMES NOW 80% SOLD OUT!

-

There are only 18 condo units, and 3 town homes, remaining for sale at Granite at McKinley Beach. With this limited supply, you may want to act quickly.

Living your dream life in Kelowna took a dramatic turn when Acorn Communities introduced Phase 1 of their new and novel concept, Granite at McKinley Beach.

Acorn’s Granite at McKinley Beach is a 5.2-acre, multi-family site that will feature 100 custom condos, and 16 town homes, with breathtaking, panoramic, 180 degree views of Okanagan Lake.

The project will provide a stress free live/work/play environment that will bring together all lifestyles in a “one of a kind” community.

Granite is the most unique condominium development in the Okanagan. Located within Kelowna’s most successful lake front community, “McKinley Beach,” Granite enjoys a multitude of special features.

McKinley Beach enjoys a kilometre of pristine waterfront. Granite sits just 70 yards from the shore, on a natural granite bluff which rises 100 feet above the lake!

So, with this natural wonder to work with, the design of the condo building includes two “must have” features. Massive windows and massive decks. Towering walls of glass accent the Gary Tomporowski architectural design. The structure seems to grow from the bed rock itself.

Phase 1, which is 95 per cent sold out, introduced a rooftop terrace with hot tub, outdoor kitchen and sun deck. An infinity edge swing pool is being implemented with Granite Phase II.

The McKinley Beach development offers a 96 slip marina. Acorn has 5 slips reserved for the residents of Granite at McKinley Beach.

The Granite Yacht Club (Granite owners) will operate these slips and manage water sports equipment and boats. All the benefits of private ownership without the cost and headaches!

There is currently an ingenious outdoor gymnasium adjacent the site, that solely uses your own body weight to exercise every muscle group. Four kilometres of hiking and biking trails exist currently, and McKinley Beach anticipates a total of 20 kilometres around the property in total.

Leading an evolutionary trend, Acorn is constructing “Custom Condos”; a privilege normally reserved for penthouses in large urban centers. Rather than accept builder standard Plan A, B or C, you can choose all finishes for your unit — paint colour, flooring, cabinets, countertops, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and appliances. “This oneof-a-kind location and landscape calls for a special composition of interior and exterior design features and amenities.”

There is an upscale standard level of finish provided. If what you choose is less costly than the standard, you receive a credit to the price of your home. If it is more expensive, you just pay the difference. You customize your home to suit your requirements, tastes, and budget.

Two bedroom, two bathroom condos range $429,000 - $559,000 depending on view and unit size. And there are two spacious three bedroom, three bathroom penthouses available currently, each with a loft and over 2,000 square feet of private roof top terrace.

Granite at McKinley Beach is conveniently located. The turnoff from Glenmore Dr. to the development is just 10 minutes from the intersection at Spall Rd. (Glenmore Dr.) and Harvey Ave. (Hwy. 97), which is the center of town.

At the half way point are all the amenities one needs — two supermarkets, several restaurants, coffee shops, gas station/car wash, liquor store, pub, pharmacies, yoga/pilates, chiropractors, physiotherapists, optometrists, dentists, banks, lawyers, insurance brokers, hair stylists, nail salon, daycare, veterinarian, pet store . . . you name it.

Just south of the development, John Hindle Drive has been approved to connect Glenmore Drive to Highway 97, providing short, easy access to UBC Okanagan and the airport by the end of the year.

A portion of the extension to Clifton Road is also underway, with plans for it to be put through as a secondary route for more direct access to and from downtown.

The development also has 16 town home lots designed for side-by-side, semi-detached, walk-out rancher style homes. The town home section is called The Edge because it’s perched at the very edge of the granite bluff, 60 feet over the beach, for spectacular, unobstructed, 180 degree views of the Okanagan Lake. Three bedroom, three bathroom town homes start at $822,500 with 2,235 square feet finished, and the availability to finish more space if desired.

And, Acorn is thrilled to have been chosen by Mike Holmes (Holmes Makes it Right star) for his Holmes Approved Homes program. Kelowna’s first approved builder.
