THEFT / FRAUD June 24 RCMP file: 201835679

A thief checking car doors came across a 2017 Dodge van mistakenly left unlocked on the 700 block of Saucier Avenue in the early hours of June 24. Stolen were a Nikon D610 camera (serial number 5006633), two lenses, Rayban sunglasses and a TD credit card. The credit card was used about 9 a.m. that morning at a nearby gas station. Police would like to talk to this man wearing a tuque and a Toronto Maple Leaf T-shirt.

THEFT OF ATV June 10 RCMP file: 2018-31873

The owners of a property on the 4000 block of June Springs Road reported an overnight theft on June 10. Around 4 a.m. a white Ford F550 dump truck had pulled up to the side of the road near the residence. The occupant was wearing a high-visibility vest, leading the home owners to believe they were road constructi­on workers. Later in the morning they discovered a fence at the rear of the property had been cut and the shop had been broken into. The thieves left with a blue 2007 Polaris quad (VIN is 4X1TN76AX7­A961935) with large 21-inch tires and no battery attached. A couple of weeks later, the owner reported seeing a male riding past him on his stolen quad at a high speed. The male is described as being a Caucasian male in his 40s and could be associated to other thefts in the area.

BREAK-IN AT OYAMA LEGION JUNE 20 RCMP FILE: 2018-34267

A commercial alarm was activated at the Royal Canadian Legion on Oyama Road in Lake Country at 1 a.m. on June 20. Police arrived to find the lower east side door had been jimmied open with the metal trim pried away. Cabinet hinges had been torn open and the lock was cut to the cold room. An unknown amount of liquor was stolen. The pull-tab machine had also been pried open and emptied of cash.

THEFT IN BURGER KING June 27 2018-36237

A West Kelowna Burger King customer who left his belongings at the table while using the restroom returned to find several items gone. The man was at the Louie Drive location of Burger King at approximat­ely 4 p.m. on June 27 when he left for a few minutes. When he returned, his grey Hewlett Packard Spectre laptop (s/n 5CD6310FRC), red Beats by Dr. Dre headphones and men’s Fitbit watch had been stolen. No video surveillan­ce was available at the time.

THEFT FROM HOUSE UNDER CONSTRUCTI­ON June 23 RCMP file: 2018-35130

Thieves hit another home under constructi­on in West Kelowna. On June 23, a man called RCMP to report that sometime overnight approximat­ely $1,000 worth of screens for the windows of his framed new constructi­on home on the 2500 block of Crown Crest Drive had been stolen The screens were wrapped in clear pallet stretch wrap with “DTD Developmen­t” on the packaging. Thieves also took a yellow Stanley hammer tacker and a push broom.

THEFT OF RTV June 26 RCMP file: 2018-35856

Lake Country RCMP were called to a property on the 2600 block of Camp Road on June 26 when a rugged terrain vehicle (RTV) was taken overnight. The bright orange 2016 Kubota RTV 500 had a large BC Lions sticker on the front and black paw print stickers covering the rest. The VIN is 36930.
