On tap this weekend for UBC Okanagan Heat

The UBC Okanagan athletics program has a busy weekend ahead, with every Heat team in action with the exception of women’s rugby. At home, the Heat are hosting a men’s volleyball tournament that began Thursday and concludes today; a women’s basketball exhibition game; two women’s soccer matches; and a cross-country running meet to be held today at Mission Creek Regional Park in Kelowna. The women’s race starts at noon, with the men starting at 1 p.m.

The Heat women’s soccer team plays a pair of home games at the Nonis Field, today against UFV and Sunday against No. 1 Trinity Western. Both are scheduled for 1 p.m. kickoffs.

The women’s volleyball, men’s soccer, men’s rugby and men’s and women’s golf teams are all on the road this weekend.
